Thirukkural Memorization and Writing Programme
Through Aram Child Foundation Trust, a special initiative was conducted in several villages in the Ellapuram Block of Uthukottai Taluk, Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu, with the aim of promoting Tamil language, literature, and cultural values among children.
As part of this initiative, 250 children were encouraged to memorize and write 1,330 Thirukkural couplets, one of the greatest literary treasures of the Tamil language. The programme was designed not only to develop the children’s memory and writing skills but also to help them understand and appreciate the timeless values and wisdom conveyed through Thirukkural.
After successfully participating in the programme, the children were recognized and awarded prizes as an encouragement for their efforts and achievement.
This initiative was organized with the vision of celebrating the richness and greatness of the Tamil language, while inspiring the younger generation to learn, preserve, and carry forward Tamil literature and its timeless values.
